After more than 3 months of construction, the Thang Loi Canal 2 Bridge – Ceragem 03 Hope Bridge was inaugurated in the joy of hundreds of households in Thanh My commune, Vinh Thanh district, Can Tho.
On the morning of January 17, 2025, Ceragem Vietnam Co., Ltd. coordinated with local authorities and the Hope Fund to organize the inauguration ceremony of the Thang Loi Canal 2 Bridge – a project connecting Long Thanh hamlet and Dat Moi hamlet.
The new bridge was solidly built with reinforced concrete, 35 meters long, 4.5 meters wide, capable of withstanding large loads, with a total investment of up to 475 million VND, of which Ceragem Vietnam sponsored 170 million VND through the Hope Fund
According to local people, the old bridge has seriously degraded, the railings are rusty, broken in many places, the bridge surface is peeling, the bridge beams are rotten and the bridge foot has many large cracks, posing a danger to people when traveling, especially students going to school. Therefore, the construction of a new, more solid and safer bridge is the common desire of hundreds of households here.
The completion and official use of Ceragem 03 Hope Bridge has brought great joy to the local people. Mr. Dang Quang Vinh – Chairman of Thanh My Commune People’s Committee, a local representative shared: “On behalf of the Party Committee, the People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, I would like to sincerely thank Ceragem Vietnam Company for their attention, financial support, and companionship with the people of Thanh My Commune. After the construction period, today the Thang Loi Canal 2 Bridge (Ceragem 03 Hope Bridge) has been completed and put into use as scheduled, ensuring the quality of the project according to plan. The new bridge helps people and students travel conveniently and easily, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of Thanh My Commune, while creating a new look for the countryside and homeland to become more and more prosperous.”
In addition, it is impossible not to mention the solidarity and unity of the local people and authorities throughout the process of building the new bridge. More than 500 working days and the meals and drinks given to the construction team all demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and attachment of the people.
