After more than three months of construction, Kênh Thắng Lợi 2 Bridge – Ceragem Hope Bridge 03 was inaugurated amid the joy of hundreds of households in Thạnh Mỹ Commune, Vĩnh Thạnh District, Cần Thơ.
On the morning of January 17, 2025, Ceragem Vietnam Co., Ltd., in coordination with local authorities and the Hy Vọng Fund, held the inauguration ceremony for Kênh Thắng Lợi 2 Bridge – a project connecting Long Thạnh Hamlet and Đất Mới Hamlet.
The new bridge was solidly built with reinforced concrete, measuring 35 meters in length and 4.5 meters in width, with a high load-bearing capacity. The total investment amounted to VND 475 million, of which Ceragem Vietnam contributed VND 170 million through the Hy Vọng Fund.
According to local residents, the old bridge had severely deteriorated, with rusted railings, many broken sections, a peeling bridge surface, rotten beams, and large cracks appearing at the bridge foundations. These conditions posed serious safety risks for people traveling across the bridge, especially schoolchildren on their way to school. Therefore, building a new, stronger, and safer bridge had long been the shared wish of hundreds of households in the area.
The completion and official opening of Hope Bridge Ceragem 03 has brought immense joy to local residents. Mr. Dang Quang Vinh, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thanh My Commune, representing the local authorities, shared:
“On behalf of the Party Committee, the People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, we would like to sincerely thank Ceragem Vietnam for its financial support and for standing alongside the people of Thanh My Commune. After the construction period, today the Thang Loi 2 Canal Bridge (Hope Bridge Ceragem 03) has been completed and put into use as scheduled, meeting all quality requirements according to plan. The new bridge enables residents and students to travel more conveniently and safely, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of Thanh My Commune, while also creating a new, more modern and well-developed appearance for the rural area and our hometown.”
In addition, it is impossible not to mention the collective effort and unity of local residents and authorities throughout the construction of the new bridge. More than 500 days of voluntary labor, along with heartfelt meals and refreshments provided for the construction team, clearly reflected the strong sense of solidarity and close-knit spirit of the community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Kim Byeong Gon – General Director of Ceragem Vietnam – expressed his honor to accompany the local authorities and the people of Thanh My Commune in this meaningful moment.
