On the afternoon of June 2, 2022, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh An Commune, Chau Thanh District, in coordination with the leadership of the Commune People’s Committee, local departments and mass organizations, the Bridge Construction Mobilization Committee, and sponsors, held the inauguration ceremony of the New Canal Bridge in An Lac Hamlet, Binh An Commune, Chau Thanh District, Kien Giang Province.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Mao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People’s Council; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district and district-level departments and mass organizations; representatives of the Standing Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, local departments and mass organizations of the commune; representatives of An Lac Hamlet; and residents of Binh An Commune.
After 45 days of construction, the New Canal Bridge has now been completed and put into use. The bridge is built with reinforced concrete, measuring 24 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width, with a total construction cost of 390 million VND, funded by Ceragem Vietnam One Member Limited Liability Company, Ceragem My Tam One Member Limited Liability Company, and contributions from branch directors.
Local residents were very pleased with the completion of the bridge, as it has greatly facilitated transportation, trade, and the schooling of local children. At the inauguration ceremony, district leaders awarded two Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the District People’s Committee to two sponsoring organizations. In addition, the People’s Committee of Binh An Commune presented Certificates of Merit to 14 organizations and 4 individuals in recognition of their contributions as benefactors and sponsors.
